Ancient Gymnasium, Amorbach
With the “Ancient Gymnasium”, the town of Amorbach was able to preserve and revitalize a building rich in tradition from its recent history. According to its new function as a lively event location, highly functional acoustic ceilings from OWA are used that are coordinated with the interior design.
Inside the existing building, whose facade has remained clearly recognizable, there is a pleasantly homogeneous sense of space. This is achieved by perfectly coordinated interior design elements, especially in the form of the selected OWA ceiling systems.
These include the seamless OWAplan 90 ceiling system in System S7 with the highest possible absorption class (A). In the sanitary rooms, fleece-laminated mineral ceilings Sinfonia in System S3 are used. In the corridors, Sinfonia C long format tiles in the semi-concealed System S 2p were integrated. In another part of the corridor, Sinfonia C ceiling cladding in the System 6a with a surrounding plasterboard frieze was used. Finally, the Tecta S33 metal ceiling was installed in the kitchen over an area of 76 square meters. The ceiling surfaces were supplemented by the installation of LED lights.
