Declare gives Sinfonia the tick

OWA Sinfonia and Sinfonia Silencia are now Declare certified. Declare is essentially an ingredients list for building products, similar to food labelling, designed to form a greener and healthier environment for workers and customers. Based on transparent declarations by manufacturers, where harmful ingredients are disclosed, products that are entirely ‘Red-list’ free may be awarded Declare certification, ensuring they do not pollute the environment and are not harmful.

Declare certified products can also contribute to the ‘Living Building Challenge’. Living Buildings must demonstrate that they have achieved net positive energy, net positive water, and net positive waste. Living Buildings generate more energy than they consume, divert materials from the waste stream, and salvage materials destined for landfill.
